Achievments

In order to meet the food needs of the growing population, the Department of Agricultural Extension has been able to produce bumper horticultural crops such as vegetables, fruits and flowers in the last one year through the transfer of advanced technology among the farmers. Porabari, Gazipur, Horticulture Center under Horticulture Wing has been carrying out significant activities for horticulture. In this program the program of production and distribution of high quality saplings / seedlings among the farmers has been intensified. In the last three years, the Horticulture Center has produced 6200 fruits, 12200 flower saplings / cuttings, 3530 ornamental saplings / cuttings, 2250 medicinal saplings / cuttings, 4420 spice saplings / cuttings, 37050 vegetable saplings. From which revenue income of Rs. 560201 / - has been generated in last three years.
